Went to start my car today no power at all. Only sat for a couple days. I tried jumping directly from battery and got nothing. No light or audibles from car. Next up is getting into glass hatch but before I remove driver seat to get at cable to release glass. Am I missing something. Has anyone had this issue before?

OK - I am missing something. I thought the 2004 still had a mechanical hatch release so why do you need to do any of this to access the engine compartment?

No light or audibles from car.

Need more details.

Does that mean that with the jump start source connected to the battery you do not get the interior or courtesy lights illuminating? If the interior / courtesy lights are not illuminating then I suggest that you might have a failed connection where the main + and - cables are clamped to the battery posts. Check the battery post clamps to make sure the connections are clean and tight. Check the far end of the negative cable where i connects to the body.

If that means that the interior lights come work with the jump source connected ; but, you don't get any lights on the dash when you turn the ignition key then chances are that your ignition switch has failed.

This presumes that your jump start source is working and that your car is stock.

So I hooked up a charger to the battery today before I left for work. Hopefully the cold just zapped the battery and that’s all it is.

Connections are tight and clean. Headlights won’t come on so I thought it was hopefully just really dead battery or maybe there is fuse box issue.

More details coming tonight

Btw you’re right I wasn’t thinking hatch is manual.

So Battery Charger didn’t do anything for the situation. I put a jump box on the terminals in the engine bay and still no power to car at all. No headlights, dash lights, audibles.

Connect the jump pack to the jump start terminals in the engine bay. Try operating the driver's side power seat - either the recline or the for - aft. If the driver's side power seat doesn't work then I think your jump pack is dead. There are two fuses between the jump start terminals in the engine compartment and the power seat. One is the main big ass 120 amp fuse and the others are 20 amp so very little to go wrong. Check the #9 120 amp fuse; however, rare for that to pop without you knowing that something had happened. Also, that fuse will not prevent the headlights from operating since they are not supplied through that fuse.

If the driver's side power seat works with the jump pack connected to the jump start terminal in the engine bay, move the jump pack and connect it to the battery terminals. Try the seat test again. If the seat does not move then there is a problem with one of the following:
- the battery post terminals
- the battery cable ground connection to the body
- the positive cables from the battery

Connections are tight and clean.
Did you take them off, clean them and reattach or do they just look clean and tight? This time of year is usually connections first when diagnosing.

Try bypassing the battery and connecting directly to the cables on the car.

Did you check voltage anywhere with the jump connected?

So 7 days and no follow-up. I am thinking the OP had a dead battery and a dead jump pack.

I just did this with a Prius. Wouldn't start after a couple days, then after four hours, then a couple days. I charged the battery and let it sit four two days then hooked it up to the car. Worked great, for a day. Looked for a parasitic drain for a couple days then decided to do a proper test on the battery. Yeah, not very smart that time but at least the Prius is really easy to work on. At least that's how I justify it.
