I went to the San Diego International Auto Show last night. I went very late. One hour before the 10pm closing time. The show was small and lame compared to the LA Auto show and previous San Diego autoshows, but I had a good time regardless.

The Long Beach Blue Pearl NSX-T on display was absolutely STUNNING. There was quite a crowd around it... especially since Acura PUT IT IN THE BACK where it was HIDDEN!!! I was pretty pissed off that they put it in the back, but I still couldn't believe a lot of people were gathered around it. It drew a larger crowd than the yellow Ferrari 360 Modena Challenge Car when I was there.

I stood there admiring it for a good 15 minutes. It was beautiful. The Long Beach Blue Pearl color is awesome... I think I may like it more than my Monte Carlo Blue Pearl color.

It was fun listening to all the reactions while I was there. The most memorable one was from a kid that looked like he was 10 say "WOW! THAT'S THE NEW ACCORD! LOOK! LOOK AT THE WHEELS! IT SAYS A FOR ACCORD! LOOK, LOOK AT THE LICENSE PLATE, IT SAYS ACCO... ACURA... OH."

A lot of Hey, it's a: Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc.

There were quite a few females surrounding it too... "I LOVE these cars. I think this is the best looking car EVER."

I just sat there with a big smile on my face.

I had a lot of fun. Car of the show for me was definitely the NSX. A distant second was the Acura MDX with the navigation and DVD entertainment center. I want one. Third and fourth on my rankings were the MB SL55 AMG and the MB S55 AMG. (Am I biased?) I only took one picture of the S55, one of the SL55, and about 30 of the NSX. =)

Not even the new Dodge Viper was on display (or maybe I missed it?). An old red clownshoe GTS was there though. No one was around that car at all. That was somewhat surprising.

Favorite Car - Plymouth Superbird.

Favorite Truck - The life-sized radio controlled inflatable truck that was flying around in the air.

Other highlights - Murcielago, DB7 Vanquish, 360 Challenge, and lots of cars to sit in (CL55, SL500, CLK55, Z4, S2000, Z06, Mini Cooper, H2,...).

Lowlights - Lots of cars you couldn't sit in (SL55, any Carrera, NSX, Viper (final edition?), SC430), $1.00 extra for dipping sauce for a pretzel costing $3.50!?!?!!.

Cool. There was a silver 2003 NSX at the Phoenix show (which ends today). It too was crowded, I had a hard time getting clean shots. Lots of idiots (even the eye-candy display chick) going on about how the "totally new" 2004 NSX is coming out in a week, with 400hp.

There was a new Viper, the GTS-R racing coupe version. It drew quite a crowd, but I heard one woman say "that front end is too damn low! How are you going to drive it on the streets?"

There was a radio controlled flying PT cruiser instead of the truck. No 360 Challenge, just a (regular

) blue Modena.

My favorite cars: red G35coupe, and black & blue 350Zs.

Didn't eat anything during the 3-4 hours that I was there. Had indian fry bread last year
