2 Race or Not 2 Race.....

I get a lot of engine revvs. I also get a lot of thumbs up. You can ignore them or kick their ass.
I get that all the time. Its so annoying. Like I care to race them or something? This past weekend, I had some idiot, and I mean total moron in a Mustang GT wanting to race me in wet weather. What is he thinking? Anyways, usually when someone pulls up next to me and acts stupid, I just slow down and pull behide them. They can race themselves for all I care. Unless its an attractive female!!!

it's funny no one would do that to me in the viper,the vette guys wouldn't even make eye contact!for some reason it always happens in the nsx?i really hate the guys that ride your bumper,dropping back and nailing it again over and over!
it's the same when i drive my windstar. i guess it has the same intimidation factor as the viper.
Why did you post the same message in the Southwest forum?
I get it from unworthy cars...namely civics, jettas, etc. You know, cars whose owners know they are a step below you and they feel that they have to prove themselves.
I don't get it from owners of Porsches, Corvettes, or other higher-end vehicles because there is an underlying mutual respect between us, IMO. We don't need to prove anything to each other. We know what we've got.

yeah, like randall--here in KC i get that a lot in the nsx. maybe i should get a viper??
ya the nsx defintely gets alot of revs.. lot of times the person revving just wants to see and hear the car go.. other times there are people that really want to race.. and then there are civis/jettas and the like that wanna race.. Sometimes I'll go.. I'll win some and smile but lose some but smile too
It is a guarantee to get engine revs when I am out in the NSX. When I am out in my 911 I have yet to have one person try to race me. Kind of strange.
My philosophy...only race with the best...meaning cars of more value and reputation....no ricer cars....some may be fast, but that picture would be ugly on the street....
like 8000RPM says, some ricers know they're fighting a losing battle, but they just want to hear the sound of the NSX and see you in action...VROMMMMMMM!! It's free of charge, right? I'm sure most dealers won't even let people touch the key....

size Chevy pick-up that would not leave me alone last week.

I slowed way down till he finally gunned his big truck off.
Hell, I was trying to turn into work and he was keeping me blocked.
He then proceeded to turn around and park about 100 yards away and stare.
I was glad when 2 S.O. cars drove through the parking lot and scared him off.

I get that all the time specially whit the spoiler I got. What I do is just look at them smile and say hi to them and they just smile and say hi back and stop wanting to race me they just ask me what I have in my car and I tell them. Its better that way cause I have made some new friends too out of it. not all people in civics have there head up there ass.
There are some kick ass pickup trucks out there. The Ford Lightning is one and Dodge has a mean one that will clean up on a straight line.
I had a guy with a red Dodge SUV with a 5.9 in it, all done up with ground effects,loud exhaust, lowered,striped like a Viper chase and weavelike crazy through traffic until he could pull along side of me and start jacking on the throttle. We stop at a light side by side and he puts down the passenger's window,leans over and says that he can "blow my doors off".
I said in a nonchalant manner pointing at his truck nodding my head "Gosh, I guess I should of bought one of those".
He gave me a one finger salute and burned off when the light changed.

I've seen ONE of those huge Dodge SUV's imported here in Australia; HUGE is an understatement. The car was raised so high there was a gap about 1 foot between the top of the wheels and the car!
i could never imagine an NSX owner acting like that Dodge owner. Lucky u didnt race him... he might have done some 'monster truck maddness' on u.
