1999 US-Spec NSX Production Numbers

I calculated the full set of 1999 US-Spec NSX VINs, and manually got all the color/transmission combos from American Honda's database.

The highest VINs for 1999 are:

XT000218 for the manual cars
XT000008 for automatic cars

Some notes about the 1999 cars:

- Manual and automatic cars have their own VIN "series", meaning they are numbered differently. So, there would be two #000001 (one for manual, one for automatic), two #000002, and so on and so forth, all the way to #8, after which, there would only be the manual cars.

- There was also the production of the Zanardi coupes. One of the 1999 manual cars, #XT000127, carries a Zanardi VIN, but American Honda's database lists it as a New Formula Red/Camel NSX Coupe. Since it carries the Zanardi VIN, and is widely said to be the "#00" Zanardi Test Car, for the purposes of this database, it is counted as a Zanardi New Formula Red/Onyx.

- The red cars are also split between Formula Red and New Formula Red. All the Zanardi cars are New Formula Red. All non-Zanardi red cars built before and during the Zanardi production run are Formula Red. All non-Zanardi red cars built after the Zanardi production run are New Formula Red.

For 1999, 3 of the manual cars and 2 of the automatic cars were not in Amercan Honda's database. It's possible that Honda Japan kept these cars for their own use. For the purposes of this database, I had to leave these color combinations as unknown. Since NSX-Ts, NSX Coupes, and Zanardi NSX Coupes (manual only) were produced in 1999, it is also unknown whether these cars are NSX-Ts, NSX Coupes, or pre-production Zanardi test cars.

If anyone knows of or has seen any of these cars, feel free to share what you know. The VINs of the cars in question will depend on if the particular car is a NSX-T, NSX Coupe, or Zanardi NSX Coupe:

Ideally, someone else should go through and compile their own list, so that we can compare and verify that no mistakes were made when recording the data. After it's been verified no mistakes have been made, this can be added to the production numbers section of the FAQ. Additionally, I have the data for which VIN goes with which color/transmission/roof combo, if anyone was interested in that sort of thing.

Yeah, I haven't had as much time as I did over the holidays, so that's why 1999 took so long.

It'll be good if we get a few years of overlap between the manual data collection and auto script, just to verify that the script is working properly.
