1991 Rough Idle/Misfire

That's probably it then. It idles anywhere between 1300-800.

That is not normal...my car would idle dead steady at 800-900.

I printed this "Retrieving Codes using the Service Check Connector" document from a DIY post:

http://www.nsxprime.com/FAQ/DIY/trouble_codes.htm

I assumed it came from the wiki . I now see that there is nothing in the descrition field for the OBDI for those codes - my bad.

I have this printed out as well. I tried pulling codes when i was having the trouble with timing, etc and there were none.

I'm not doubting the GURU here, but help me understand codes 71 thru 76. Won't OBDI cars see these?

The code set in the WIKI is not catagorized by year. 1991-94 ECU's stop at code 59.

Again, without the misfire detection system install in 1995+, the ECU has no clue it is misfiring;).

Service Manual tells all:) These extended codes, misfire detection, etc. were a result of EPA mandate.
