Well, it looks like it is time to have this service done. Is there anything I need to be aware of with this service?

I have read through some old threads here. I assume this service is the same as the 45k and 75k correct?

Thanks

Yes and no. The difference depends on the year of your car and whether you have changed the timing belt.

For the '91-96 NSX, the service is the same as the 45K and 75K. But keep in mind that this service includes flushing the coolant. However, if you changed your timing belt at some point, then the coolant would have been replaced at that time, and you can adjust the next service interval for flushing the coolant accordingly. For example, if you changed your timing belt at 90K, then you don't have to flush the coolant for another 30K miles or 2 years from that point, whichever comes first. This means that you might not have to change the coolant as part of the 105K service. But make sure you alert your dealer to what you're doing, because otherwise they might do it automatically as part of the 105K service.

For the '97+ NSX, the service at 105K miles (or 7 years) includes the timing belt replacement, unlike the 45K or 75K service.

Is there an NSXCA discount on services?
It depends on the dealership. Goodson Acura, which does the most NSX service of any dealer in the Metroplex, is indeed giving discounts on service to members of the NSX Club of America. Just let Susan (NSX Service Girl on NSXprime) know when you make your appointment.

Thanks for the reply Ken.

The timing belt service was done but I believe it was two years ago so I may need to have the coolant flush anyway.

I am having the service done at Goodson so I defianately need to let Susan know I have my membership now. :D

Thanks for the great response Ken. That was exactly what I was looking for!
