1,400 rpm Idle......Why?

HI I HAVE A 2000 NSX-T 6 SPEED THAT I JUST BOUGHT AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS "ON" WITH A CODE OF "IDLE SPEED CONTROL FAILURE" AND THE IDLE IS ON AROUND 1,400 rpm.....WE TURNED THE BOLT TO CONTROL THE AIR IN THE THROTLE BODY IN AND OUT AND THE IDLE STAYS THE SAME......THE CAR WAS SUPERCHARGED BEFORE AND IT WAS REMOVED BY THE PREVIOUS OWNER,ANY SUGGESTIONS?.................THANKS.......EMAIL OR CALL ME PLEASE BOSTON AREA (401)640-0380 ALBERTO

Brian has it right.

Why must you have upper-case font when you post? It is difficult to read. Hmmm, is there a reason you have "rpm" in lower-case font? :confused:

Andy, it is because it only spins 1400 rpm's. Now if it was 1500 RPM's, it would then qualify for the CAPS. :biggrin:
 
There is a special procedure to regulate and control the idle rpm for the TBW NSX. Just turning a screw doesn't fix anything. Try a search on this board with the word "idle" and you find a lot of hints.
