Yeah but it was Keiichi Tsuchiya in the civic and he is too good.

That little civic is very impressive.

LITTLE Civic ??

Seeing the NSX driving next to those other cars shows just how low and wide the NSX is.
And yes, that Civic Type R is really fast. I read somewhere that the new Civic Type R is only 1 second slower around that track than a standard NSX.
However, that is a different kind of Type R version with a double wishbone rear suspension in stead of the standard rear suspension that is normally mounted on the Civic.

woah! what a rush! The dude in the NSX Type-S really nailed that last corner... drifting around that bitch! wow! i cant believe how high that civic motor rev's... pure genius.

Honda engines are always willing to rev... look at my old not-so-stock ITR's  (see it with nokia player or quicktime)

while you're there, take a look at my other videos (NSX included)

The guy driving the Integra Type-R (RSX-R) was shifting 1000rpm to early!

I know what the next car I want is though! :)

I liked the soundtrack too! The dude in the civic was too funny! He sounded like he was getting all excited going around the turns.

What a great race! Man I want that car!

You can tell the Civic driver is beating the hell out of the little car more than anybody else... Still impressive though, a lot better than I expected.

BTW, the S2000 driver blows!!

Yes of course... Thats why I've owned 2 NSX's in the last 5 years.

Btw that link doesnt work.. just spits out a bunch of garbage...

I'm just amazed that the civic's redline is 8500 RPMS... Honda engineers are amazing

low? yes. wide? no. my civic (2000 civic LX) is 69inches wide.... the nsx is 72. just to put it in perspective.... the murcielago is ~82inches wide.

nsx is low...yeah, but not so wide.

They won't bring that car to the U.S. will they?

Keichi drove the new R because Honda is trying to promote. I liked the way how the Type S drifts in the last turn.

hummm...it works here.... try doing a "save target as"

and they are amazing since late 80's ... B16A had a 8000rpm redline back in 88... B18C (integra type-R) had a 8500rpms redline as early as 1995...

indeed they are amazing... they managed to reliably mass produce F1sensations

Yes i know. I was just making a comment. I'm very well aware of Honda's history and their capabilities. But that doesn't mean it doesn't impress me now and then.

enkryptpd, you can view it by right clicking, save link, then make sure the file's extension is .3gp (my browser added .txt, so I removed it). Then open it with QuickTime player.

That's some high revving. I was not willing to rev even my fully built ITR engine that high.

ya got it... pretty impressive rpms there :) now how can i make my nsx do that ? :D

eahaehea... my ITR engine had only JUN type 3 camshafts and JUN valve springs (a few other little things)... the gauge showed almost 10000rpms (9800 actually) but the ECU was set to cut off at 9450 true rpms...

i think that for the NSX to do that and not blow up, it needs only valve springs...of course that you need other things to make it efficient... but i'm still trying to understand how NSX engine work to know what to do... i know B18C like the palm of my hand

about durability... my ITR engine turned now 65000mls with that setup...so i think i pretty much achieved my goals -> Fun for a long time....

UnhuZ - Youre little NSX drift is pretty darn crazy!

that was only about a quarter of a 3 complete sideway runs to that "round" (i don't know how you guys call that)

NSX is a hell of a fun to drive sideways everywhere....
