03 NSX-T ET so far

I'm not really sure if the suspension mods were a positive impact. I did turn the TypeRA dampers to lowest @ 16clicks on the front and 1 click back from max on the rear to transfer the weight.

So let me make sure I understand. Soft as you can in the front and hard as you can in the rear?

Funny I have a Silver 2002 NSX T with the same whells in 18 inch on all 4, and Tein's also :)

yes, but i could be wrong. just testing a few things out.

i notice you have 285/30/18 s03 on the rear 18" ssr. what's the wheel width? 9.5"? i didn't think the 285 could mount on the 9.5 but needed 10.0.

Did AJKS mention his type of wheels or width? I must have missed that.

Bridgestone does indeed specify 10 inches as the minimum wheel width for those overwide tires (which don't exactly help your drag times anyway).

I have the18x 9.5's on the rear and tire rack said a 9.5 for a 285 is AOK.

I am thinking a full soft on the front and a medium-full soft on the rear would be best. The Medium to full soft on the back will alow the NSX to squat down on the lanuch.

talked to the same rep who sold me both sets of ssr at tirerack and he does not recommend 285 on 9.5 wide ssr's. mixed answers now.

For best drag suspension: you want full hard in the front and full soft in the rear.

with that i'm assuming you want the car to squat more?

just got back from track. hate to disappoint but i still suck at this stuff. best tonight was was 13.287 @ 110.590mph w/ 2.121 60' and reaction of 0.185.

best trap tonight was 111.12mph
average 60' was 2.0-2.1
best 1/8 was 8.620
best reaction was 0.004

did 18 runs total. i'm tired now. if any consolation, all 18 runs were wins. ran with anything from stock 4dr civis to modified 5.0l stangs.

Hey, welcome to the forum! I'm also-known-as IS300turbo on MR.

Good runs! Did you ever run your cars before you intalled the Teins? I was wondering if that made a diference in 60'.

Napierville is a strange track, the trap speeds are really high there!

Stock we ran a 12.87 at *only* 104mph, then with bolt-ons we went to 12.51@ 111mph, then at Napierville we were trapping around 114 in the high twelves.

Here's the stock timeslip:

no, never ran the car before the teins install.

your times are with nitto555R track tires. i'm talking street tires here.

who's "we"? isn't that your father's nsx?

well I have been running 285 30's on 9.5 inch wheels for over 4 years now on my 4 NSX's. To date no problems at all. I have draged, road, top end raced the cars with no flaws. I too have gotten mixed answers from Tire Rack. So if you want more tire back there and want to have the right tire height go with the 285'30'18's you will not go back to anything else.
They are the tires that have put me in the 11.6's on the Nitrous and 12'7s with NA.

:)

No, those times were with stock wheels and tires.

12.81 was with bolt-ons, and 12.5 was with Nittos.

I want to see the difference with and without coilover and there various settings. I assume a better 60' time can be achieved, which would show a nice improvement.

And "we" both run the car, I just always pull slower times. Plus the car is still faster than my IS, even though I have more power and torque, and the NSX is more fun to drive anyway.
