Okay, before everyone starts in with the "SEARCH" comments....I have. I cannot find the information I am looking for, although I know I've ready it somewhere....just don't know if it was here or somwhere else.

Anyway, can the 17/17 OEM Wheels from the 02 and up bolt directly onto a '94? I thought there was something about brake clearance and needing spacers or something.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Also, I'm curious about the same wheel diameter as opposed to the offsets in earlier models. How does the TCS know about this setup? Does it need to be re-programmed/updated as well?

tsc doesn't care, your overall wheel diameter does not change that much, only the rim dia and tire sidewall.

Can I Swap OEM Wheels Between NSX Model Years?

The 2002 wheel spokes do not flare out enough closer to the center where the 1991 - 1996 caliper sits. If you upgrade a 1991 - 1996 car to have to '97+ front rotors (which moves the caliper further out), you can use 2002 wheels. You could also use a 5mm spacer to push the wheels out enough to clear the caliper.

Perfect, thanks for the info, it was exactly what I was looking for and had remembered reading somewhere (only couldn't recall exactly what needed to be done to make the rims work).

My 91 has spacers and from looking close up at these pics it is h&r 1065640
which is 5mm. Damn I need new rotors.

What about the Zanardi rims, do they bolt on, or do you also need the 5mm spacer with them (or the smaller calipers)?

Bump....so do I need spacers on a '94 with Zanardi rims since the '94 has OEM rotors and calipers?

Based on the NSX Wheel tech link, I would say no. But, personally, I would just get a set of 5mm spacers anyway, just in case.

Since Zanardi's are '99MY they would have '97+ front rotors (which moves the caliper further out) so I would imagine you would expect the same fitment issues as with 02+ wheels

I think There is a long time NE member who had zanardi wheels on his 91 without spacers.

No problem using type S/ Zanardi wheels on a 1994 NSX-R with NA1 size rotors.

I have 02+ on my 91. You need at least 5mm spacers on the fronts and you do not need spacers on the rear.
