No one has replied? I am also looking to re finish my console but I don't want it to look like paint. I might try an auto restoration shop. Those guys are pretty good at matching finishes. From ACURA the '94 cost to replace is $1,600. the'02+ is $1,100. Just cant see paying that much for them...

After you remove the retainer...Yes, the molding pulls out easily. The fastener is the one with an adhesive strip. Also not bad to remove, but you must then CAREFULLY scrape the excess adhesive that remains on the roof/windshield area. If you do not do this the fastener will not fit well. Also...
