    Alignment Specs

I was just going to do a search on correct alignment specs, so thanks for this guys! My car is a '92 but with '96 wheels, running 205/50-16 fronts and 245/45-17 rears. Can I assume the standard '93 specs are still the best to use? Mainly aggressive street/country road/highway use.

I got The Little Red Whore out for a few hours, two days in a row the last weekend of January. Did a round trip to Webster Groves on Sat 1/27, and a nice run up the River Road on Sunday 1/28, with my lovely bride; stopped at the Old Bakery brew pub in Alton for a birthday dinner. First time out...

Is there a preferred brake caliper refinisher/power-coater you use?

Wow, that's getting up there! Paint sounds best for you.

Is there a preferred brake caliper refinisher/power-coater you use?

OK, sounds right. Goldline charged me $625 in April '14, to rebuild and coat all 4. They didn't charge me for the extra time with the parking brake mechanism. New price probably reflects that extra time and a price increase since '14. The $450 was for the Porsche calipers above. In any case...

Is there a preferred brake caliper refinisher/power-coater you use?

I'd need to dig thru the files, but I think it may have been more like $600? And it was a couple of years ago. they also had more time in the parking brake mechanism but they honored their quote. I also supplied some hardware (see above). No pistons needed. Given the amount of work and the...

Is there a preferred brake caliper refinisher/power-coater you use?

I think I paid about $450? To have all 4 calipers completely rebuilt with their proprietery coating (see anove)

Geez Don, glad it wasn't any worse and you weren't hurt. And SUPER GLAD it wasn't the NSX! So you were in the tunnel? I had a similar thing with a brand new F150 shop truck in 2004. Left the dealership and had about 20 miles on it, when a dump truck in the other lane dropped a huge chunk of...

On Saturday afternoon, my lovely bride and I took the X to Frontenac for a movie, then dinner at Bricktop's. Filled up with that less-expensive Missouri gas before heading home. No challenges to race from clapped-out Civics or Mustangs this trip, which is unusual :->

Need some guidance on suspension set ups

That's exactly what I was thinking too. I've had a set of Swift springs here for almost 2 years, haven't pulled the trigger yet. But the drop and spring rate seems about perfect, paired with Bilsteins on the upper perch. Hope you get some responses.

    Blazecut Fire Suppression

I just installed this simple fire suppression system. There was some discussion here and on the FB group after several engine compartment fires last spring. I ordered one at that time but they were on backorder until recently. It's a really simple idea: a pressurized, meltable tube filled with...

    Negative battery cable thread removed

The quality of the part relative to the price clearly demonstrated that you were basically making them for free. Good on you, Ben!

50/50 chance I'll make it to Westport this Saturday, Don. If I can steal some time from work tomorrow I'll clean the X up and temporarily reassemble the driver's door - it's opened up at the moment for window track repair. I'd really like to do it as I've missed everything this year due to the...

    Window guide / slider piece

Looks like it to me, if all you're doing is replacing the sliders. Basically, once the door panel is off, the foam-covered metal pieces at the tops of the channels come off, the door handle comes off, the glass gets unbolted from the regulator and slides up & out of the door. I think the...

Please see part # 6 in this diagram, the one at the REAR of the window (there's another one of the same part number at the front) On my driver's door, the window is dropping down at the back end. If I support the top rear corner of the glass and operate the regulator, everything moves up and...
