Mate, there is like 21 cars produced (excluding Zanardi NSX's) and to find one up for sale is like winning the lottery. tbromley is right, there was a silver one recently for sale. Expect to pay top dollar for one...$40k is not top dollar...

    JH4NA21675S000069 White 05

Looks like this car led a life of dealership service. Now if all services were documented on the carfax, this car had oil changes at 27,000 and 31,000 miles. Based on condition, it maybe true:frown::frown: I agree with others, this car probably let a hard life. Why would one want to spend so...

    Red / Tan combinations?

Always wanted a Ferrari but not the maintenance costs so Formula Red was the only color for me. Got the black interior but if I'd have had a choice I'd have got the tan. Have no problem with the black, but tan just adds a little more. After 18 months of searching and patience running (ran) out...

    Cheap 91 NSX on EBAY

That car is plain scary. Since I have nothing else better to do with my time, googled the VIN and the interior is as scary as the outside. On a positive note, it is red, and therefore faster than other cars, particularly tbromley silver......:biggrin:

Should I buy an older or newer NSX

LMR, I think you will get a variety of views on this subject so I'll give it a shot with my "personal" view and experience buying an NSX. Take you budgeted amount and subtract $5,000 for maintenance plus sales tax for your state. The net difference obviously represents your max. purchase price...

    Should the belt be changed?

I should have commented that micro breweries were/are excluded from my comments. Oh, empty budwiper and that sweet $hIt called COORS cans were a plenty in the truck of my Grand National.....along with Crisps under my seat.

    Should the belt be changed?

You Yankees should understand that many true Brits feel a refrigerator is optional for "real" beer drinking. Room temperature brings out the hops and flavor of the beer, so there are gains from not drinking ice cold beer. Now lets take a look at America's favorite "Budwiper". What little flavor...

First year of ownership, NSX = therapy?

My NSX is my daily therapy, even if it is just to open the door to the garage and buff the girl again with a microfiber towel. I badly need professional help, but that may come one day after selling the car due to deteriorating knees.

    Prospective NSX owner

629, I think you are on to something here. While I am not the most knowledgeable on price, like others who are hot on Honda prices of all years, good records and care of the car definitely works to your advantage. A pre-purchase inspection by a qualified NSX guy is highly recommended. As for...

    Should the belt be changed?

As an Englishman once said, "may you now sleep better at night, your rubber doesn't break, you lube you motor regularly so you stay out of an expensive predicament

    Thoughts??

Think this is a car you have to see in person to really appreciate the paint job, good or bad. I'd sure like to see the paperwork on all the goodies on the car and maintenance and who worked on the car. Price wise, tend to think this may be a good deal...but have to watch my P's And Q's on price...

    Should the belt be changed?

Sorry to say, I place little weight in Pat's comments. He questioned what are the "elements". If a timing belt was left for 4 years in a California driveway and an identical belt in a climatic controlled wine cooler, I'd say the driveway belt would be crisp and the climate control belt in great...

    Should the belt be changed?

TB/WP changed after 13 years and 24,000 miles. Belt looked like new and in great shape. Comfortable car was not tracked by prior 2 owners, I do not intend to track and the car was a garage queen. I changed the belt so I could sleep at night. Assuming you do not plan to track the car, personally...

Why I am selling my cherished NSX

It is my personal view that many cars that are several plus years old have some level of deferred maintenance. It is what is deferred that counts for me and what the prior owners have done to take care of the car that is both documented and gives you a level of confidence in the car getting from...

    First purchase advice

Auto versus manual is a personal preference. I think most on this forum would opt for the manual, use the search function and get volumes of feedback. For me, I like and have the manual. It just doesn't seem right to have an auto....just like an auto F car, P car or Lambo. But again a personal...
