It seems to me that if you have a bad noise coming from the motor you should first and foremost refrain from starting the vehicle. Have a mechanic look at your NSX. And if there are no qualified mechanics in Tampa, then haul the NSX back to Atlanta.

Perhap a crazy question, but here goes: Are all OEM NSX front fenders the same and interchangeble, regardless of the year of the vehicle? In looking at the Acura data for front fenders I noted that the pre-2002 fenders have a different part number than the 2002+ fenders. I'm unsure, however...

Far better - and easier - to simply buy the smallest spacers required. I'm running Work Emotion CR Kais (gunmetal) over Brembos on my '98. The rims fit, but with only the very slighest amount of clearance from the calipers. So just to be safe, I added 2.5mm spacers.
