Looking for a deep throaty exhaust like HKS. Can you recommend?

A while back, I went looking for the Taitec GTLW [for a 2002] and believe it not made anymore. Is this correct?

    Can you diagnose this problem?

My first suspect would be the throw-out bearing - did they put in a new one when they put in clutch? They should have. The bearing only begins to rotate, against the pressure plate, when you depress the clutch. If the bearing was old and this new clutch / pressure plate requires more pressure...

Metal on metal clunk from front passenger side has me stumped.

Look along the length of the front r-sway bar and lower r-brace to see if there are any marks where they may be touching. [ if I'm reading your mods right]

    Brake upgrades...

RE: taking heat shields [ splash guards ] off - I learned here to protect the upper and lower ball joints from heat. My solution was to cut the shields down and add ducts - but the rotors and pads still get fried - 2" ducts is all I could fit. I'll add deflectors too.

    Brake upgrades...

Here's a question I always wanted to know - How far apart are the brake zone markers? And is it a standard distance between markers on most tracks?

    Brake upgrades...

Based on what the poster wrote: " On track i find i get terrible brake fade after a few laps. I only do casual track days and go out for a few laps at a time."..... The first move is to switch to a high temp brake fluid, like motul 600. A lesser fluid could easily overheat and cause the exact...

Which tire? Star Spec, AD08 R, Ecsta LE, or s.Drive?

A while ago it occurred to me to store the car on these blocks to be nice to the springs [I have KW V3's and the car is low]. The center jack [rail] point on my car is 4" off the ground. These blocks are 5", so I'm just taking a little weight off. I drive year round but mainly on weekends. It...

Changing out rotors and painting calipers

I'll bet you'll need an impact [screw] driver to take off the Phillips head screws. An inexpensive must have tool. Use anti-seize when you put the screws back in. You may have to hold driver with vise grips and really whack it with good hammer.

    INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEO: Gauge Assembly Removal

This video is a fantastic help; enough that I would remove my clustert without concern. "Video tutorials" could become a thread within DIY.

    "Weekend of a Champion"

By chance I came across this documentary [available on netflix and amazon] and it's amazing, especially if you are a track student/driver or interested in competitive motor sports. Turns out Jackie Stewart and Roman Polanski were good friends in the 60's. Roman asked Jackie if it would be ok if...

Thanks to Syndicate for illuminating an issue: Here is note from Hugo: Hi Charles I just saw the link, there seems to have some confusion on pricing, the full install labor is 200$ but does not include the 200$ kit. That is 400$ in total per car for a complete job If you remove the door cards...
