Magnum Opus...My Quest for Driving Perfection (1993 Coupe Build).

Neither have I. Seems abusive lol
I felt the same way, and I can't remember ever launching my other cars, even though many have the feature. I've sat shotgun in my buddies Turbo S for a couple of launches, and all I can say it that its terrifying as a passenger. I think the 0-60 time on that car is 2.2.

In the case of my S-Type, I kinda decided I wanted to try it, and I reasoned that if Honda engineered it, they intended it to be used, so I found an empty desert road, switched it to race mode, and with my left foot on the brake and my right foot on the gas, I gave it a go. The revs only bumped up to about 3500 rpm as I recall, and the readout said something like "launch ready." Took my foot off the brake and then warped into a different dimension. Holy crap. Someone hand me the barf bag.

Didn't really feel like it was hard on the car at all, but it was certainly hard on my inner ear. VERTIGO and lots of adrenaline. Once was enough, thank you very much. I can't imagine doing that from a stoplight...

My kids called the GT-R the "rocket ship" and would beg me to launch it over and over lol. Vertigo for sure. 0-60 in 2.7 with my mods. :D

my 3rd ice is a bone stock 00...

awesome, we need some fresh content! I hope that car thanks you.
Discovering this thread 2 months late is my penalty for not paying more attention to Prime. But now I can look forward to binge-watching a bunch of episodes instead of waiting. 😬

Glad you’re back @DeHaldaswerth, I missed your temporary absence a decade or so ago after some other phenomenal posts back then!

Hi Yinzer! Amazing how the years pass, isn't it? I'm just so happy Prime was still here after I started on this, my latest NSX adventure. This is such a great place to hang out, and I struggle to come up with a similar online community, where the participants are down to earth and generally nice people... true car guys. The collective knowledge contained with this community is amazing. I'm having more fun with this build than any car in recent memory. It's always nice to come home :)

Same here, late discovery but all caught up now. Amazing build! I love all the work done behind the scenes that no one really sees, it’s those little details that most people overlook that only enthusiast admire. Hard work making it look so simple and classic. Great pick for wheels! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Was on the fence about dry ice blast, you made my decision easy now.
