^^. The McLarens were not able to get close enough to Max to challenge, as they were always in dirty air. That advantage, created in Q3, was more than enough to keep him ahead. Let’s see what happens this weekend.

^ My weather app said Suzuka was going to be dry during the race - and indeed it was. McLaren’s forecast of Category 1 for 1 lap was pessimistic, and, ultimately, wrong.

Very dull race - nothing happened! If you haven’t watched it, don’t bother - just watch a replay of Q3.

McLaren comfortably on top - George not too far behind. Lewis gave a couple of places away by letting Leclerc through, and Max capitalised on that. Ocon & Bearman were better this week for Haas, and Antonelli was comfortable if not exciting. Great drive from Alex Albon - more points. Alonso...

Just by comparing the steering input hand movements of Liam Lawson in the RBR and either of the Racing Bull drivers, it is clear that the Racing Bull is able to be driven smoothly - the RBR is snappy, twitchy and often unstable in corners - I don’t think swapping Yuki and Liam would solve...

Wild weather here in Australia - hot to cold in less than 24 hours with added rain. McLaren should have had a 1-2, but Piastri had no luck. Max was well beaten before Alonso’s crash and the resulting safety car brought him back into contention. George ran his own race for a solid P3, and...

It’s Honda UK’s NA1 from their Heritage Collection - a very early automatic if i remember correctly. It appears in quite a few YouTube videos as Honda does loan it to ”journalistis”. Also in the collection is an 02+ NA2 in New Imola Orange Pearl, which has had an amount of “restoration” after...

    Rare options in Japan spotted

Anyone found the part numbers for the switch and the corner sensors? I have had a look but cannot see anything so far…

    Hybrid battery

I wouldn’t worry - it certainly won’t be worn out with that little use. As long as previous owners have acted in accordance with the handbook, it should be fine. When you next have the car serviced, ask the technician to talk to you about the health of the battery. Batteries are very...

    NA1 front tyres

Have you asked your local Bridgestone store? - they should be able to order in a pair for you as they stock the tyre in other sizes.

^ as above - we’ll see a clearer picture after the pre-season testing. I think that there could be up to 7 drivers in with a chance of the WDC, and 3 teams for the WCC. Wildcard for me is Sainz for Williams, as well as a few others. Maybe this year will have the most number of different...

Dream car became real this week. Totally starstruck

I think that there are more like 25-35 NSX in NZ, though I could be wrong. Congrats on getting a manual, non-PAS NSX - the best kind IMHO. Not sure that docjohn would have seen the Tina from Turners adverts… Is there an NZ owners club? - I know of the facebook group, but not an actual club...

    The Official 2024 F1 thread

Well that was exciting at times - Max spoiling Oscar’s race, just because he could, Perez disappearing following contact, Charles storming through the field, Lewis choosing a bold strategy and acing it, Carlos having a solid race as did George and Pierre, but the big thing was Lando completely...
