Zanardi is being reported as being extremely critical with severe injuries to his lower extremities and major blood loss. He is being taken to a Berlin trauma center.

Paul Page is reporting that Zanardi lost control while entering the track after a pit stop. Alex Tagliani hit Zanardi at approx 200mph.
Zanardi is being listed in extrememly critical condition. Tagliani was transported to the same Berlin hospital complaining of lower back pain. Zanardi was expected to be operated on immediately upon arrival at the hospital.
