contenders...FWIW...Yoko's Advan AVS Model-5's in the '02+ OEM size of 17x7/17x9 weigh noticeably less than their stock counterparts in same-size. Not too shabby for being a "cast" alloy wheel (low-pressure/spun fabrication?). I recall 2.0lbs-2.5lbs. difference per-wheel compared to the (presumably) forged '02+ OEM BBS 17/17. The fella's at Gruppe-S knew a fair bit about the finer points & details w/ regards to OEM & after-market JDM wheels, so lots of my concerns & curiosities were reasonably addressed.Strength/durability wise, I'd rate 'em on par w/ the '91-'93 phat'fivez which are a rather robust alloy wheel.Size choice for me was simple: tire selection/availability/cost; maintain stock feel/balance & stance/appearance ('02+ NSX wheel size, '02+ NSX-R offsets); not fear potholes & road-hazards.Anywayz...Anyone ever seen Zanardi/Type-S wheels on a Berlina Black NSX? That's something I'm curious about! I've seen them on Formula Bed, New Formula Red, Sebring Silver, Brooklands Green. My primaries are the Model-5's, for backups I'm considering the BBS 16/17 Zanardi/Type-S, '94-'01 OEM 16/17, '02-'05 OEM 17/17, or Tecno 17/17 | 17/18. Can't use my '91-'93 OEM 15/16's due to '97+ brake-swap & gonna sell (sooner-or-later) my Volk SE37k 17/18 bronze/polished-lip set.
