I have 2 NEW REAR NXS yokos for sale[Never been mounted]. Best offer takes them. I found out that the USPS will ship tires for and $15 each, funny thing was all you have to do is roll the tire into the PO with a "well attached" shipping label and hand it to the guy behind the desk.

I have heard they they get pissed, but they have to do it. LOL

Make your offers here, if i like what i see, i will move forward.

They are less than 1 year old and for a 92

What's up Doc? Drop me an e-mail with sizes, I am just down the road in High Point, and could save us both the trouble of shipping.

How old are the tires ?? were they just purchased or were they in storage ??

I know that if they were stored for a long time the rubber may be dried out and lost some of its original flexiability

What is a long time for a tire?

What you know and what is true can be two enTIREly different things. WHAT!? You think they are 10 years old?

No.....really! What is a long time for a tire in storage? Should i walk into a tire store and ask "Are they fresh?"

.......They smell bad, perhaps we should throw them out!....

Damn! the tires went sour, honey can you pick up some on the way home?

No....no! The ones in front are OLD! Get the ones from the back of the shelf!

....is that sticker number the month or the year?.....

Anyone else? this could get good

Um, the rear ones that come stock on a NSX.

Stock for what year nsx ???

1991-1993 Rear 225/50ZR16 - diameter 24.9 inches - 811 rev per mile

1994-1997 Rear 245/40ZR17 - diameter 24.7 inches - 816 rev per mile

Plus, tires do dry rot, and if someone wants to flog them around, say a road course at say, 130+MPH, the quality of rubber becomes very important.

Richard:

Wow! you have 206K miles on your NSX? Is it on the same engine and if so, what parts have you had replaced (engine wise)? I hope to get that many miles on mine too!

Have you done any mods to it? or is it OEM?

I bought my 91 NSX in 94 with 102,000 miles, hit hard in the front for 10K, I fixed it myself and put 9K in new parts including a complet left frame rail
Used parts were hard to find in 94
It's still the same engine trans. and clutch.
I maintain it myself as per factory service manual.
I never brought it to the dealer for anything.
I pound this car all the time to red line, just like it ask's me too.

now at 206,000 miles and about to drive from Utah to Boston My only answer is (HONDA and Mobil 1 0il)

Oil and filter were changed at 5 to 6K miles Not at 3k like we are led to believe.
I will send a list later of mods, some will interest all of you,and a list of what I hade to repair and at what milage. Richard

Why did you ask this? The original post says they are for a 92

Jeez dude, settle down or count to thirty. Anything but you've got to chill a little.

Bugsbunny,
All you have to do is say:
Yokohama A-022 225/50/16 tires for sale.
Why do you have to be such a PITA?
People just want to make sure the exact size you are selling. Give them a break!

With 206k on the clock and OEM yokos lasting at best 5k miles that would be 41.2 sets of rear tires used up to this point. New tires 200 bucks each for rears only = 8240 dollars spent on tires or 749 bucks per year for rears only.
