I was out cruising around last night and spotted a yellow 03 at the local Jaguar dealer's used car lot. They were closed but I stopped and snapped a couple pictures and looked it over from the outside.

It has 29,000 miles and the tag in the windshield says $69,900. This is the same place we bought our SLK from a couple years ago. While I can't say they're angels, they did treat us well and I would put them a big cut above many used car dealers.

A couple snapshots of the car.

If anyone wants me to take a closer look, just ask.

That car isn't # 88 for 2003 is it?

If so, warn everybody you know to stay away from it. I bought # 88 in November 2004 with 2800 miles on it up in NY. It had so many problems caused by the first owner, that I traded it in over in Tampa on something else only 4 months later.

Here's some info on # 88 from one of my previous posts:

ALl I can say is do NOT trust Carfax to tell you that the car was not in an accident.

Last October I bought an 03 with only 2,800 miles from Performance Auto up in Long Island that was supposed to be in pristine condition and seemed to be a really good deal at $65,500. Carfax checked out as being perfect and the Acura dealership up there checked it out as being perfect.

After I bought it and brought it home.......the first time I took it for an oil change my local Acura dealership noticed that the tow hooks on the front of the car were almost ripped off the frame. They told me it had to have been done by somebody that didn't know the right way to fasten a car to a tow truck and they would have to order new tow hooks to be welded to the frame and it would cost me approx $2,000 to fix.

After this I decided to get the paint checked out with one of those things some dealers use to see if a car has had any paint work.......... sure enough, the passenger side door and rear fender paint was much thicker than the rest of the car which meant that they had been repainted.

After finding out these things......I didn't want the car anymore. Luckily, I was able to trade it in for what I paid for it so the only money I lost was the sales tax I paid on it.

But.......JUST BE CAREFUL........have the whole car gone over with a fine tooth comb and get somebody to check the paint levels to see if there was any work done. Lastly, do NOT trust carfax to tell you if a car had any accidents or work done. Learn from my mistake.

I glanced at the VIN plate inside the windshield and as I recall, the last four digits were 0010. If I go back, I'll double-check. Thanks for the heads-up.
