Hey there everyone...
I have searched, I have read and I have done the CC diagnostics, but I still have questions re: my '92's climate control system.
As background, the fan sometimes only works on high. I just replaced the mode control motor because it was clicking very loudly sometimes. The clicking seems to have ceased, but the fan still seems to be working improperly.
I ran the 60 degree and then 90 degree test and the first time, I got no errors. Then the next two times, I got the following:
A/C, On Open position signal circuit for mode control motor or mode door stuck
LED on Defrost button Open or shorted circuit for vent control motor or stuck vent control door
I'm not really sure what to make of this. It would appear that it's the climate control board and I know that I can get that fixed, but is there anything else I should look at first? My VIN is w/in the range of the blower motor TSB, but for whatever reason, I don't think that's the problem... What do you think?
For those of you that have replaced or repaired your CC unit boards, did you have either or both of the errors that are referenced above?
Thanks,
Michael
