Has anyone tried these bulbs that are offered on Ebay?

PlasmaGlow Xenon HID Replacement Bulbs use the power of Xenon gas to give your car the unique look you are looking for! Our Plasma Xenon bulbs will give your headlights the custom look you desire. Not only do they provide high performance Xenon light, but when viewed at an angle, they produce a colored halo that is sure to turn heads! All of our bulbs are direct replacements for your stock bulbs and can be installed in about 10 minutes. Our bulbs are designed to work with your stock wiring with no additional upgrades. They are designed to increase performance without an increase in power draw or heat.

Our bulbs have a 5000k kalvin temp rating! Other sellers offer generic substitutes which carry only 3800-4300k at best! Our bulbs are designed to out perform and outlast the competition! Don't waste your time with cheap imitations! These bulbs also come with a full 10-year warranty! If at any time they Dim, Fade, Burn out! Plasmaglow.com Replaces them! This type of warranty is unheard of in the automotive lighting industry! If it's not Plasmaglow then your wasting your money on a Cheap Imitation that will burn out in a few hours!

Nothing beats the real thing. Just spend about $500 or so for some SOS HID Light kit and you will never go back. From what I see out there, the HID kit that Chris sells at Speed of Science is probably the best one out for the NSX.

If you want the HID look ..............install HIDs

waste of money. why do people still insist on getting "hyper white" etc... bulbs. These are OBVIOUSLY not Xenon HID bulbs, where's the ballast????

Just an additional data point: 3 customers of ours that have upgraded to HID have had their factory wire harnesses melted from these bulbs that bump up the wattage and generate excessive heat. Seems to be a larger problem with the brands you find on eBay than other more mainstream brands.

Chris, does the kit that you sell give off light identical to the Audi hid lights? If I were to see a NSX with your kit installed at night might I mistake it for an Audi?

Thanks for the great info. I think I am going to hold off for now on the cheap stuff and try the SOS HID's later. Next investment is the 60K service as well as timing belt/water pump. No extra's for now.

Hi Steve --

The color is very similar. The NSX application puts out slightly less of the prism like red and purplish flashes that you would see with say an Audi. This is however more due to the headlight focal design vs. the actual electronics.

Cheers,

The SOS HID conversion is one of the first mods i am going to do when i find my nsx. They look great and all i have heard is good stuff about them. Nothing like real HID
