Hi,

Sherwin, (docofmind) a great guy and friend has passed away from Leukemia as he was trying to find treatment in Israel. I will surely miss the guy and send my condolences to his family. He put up a fight for several months but has passed away as of yesterday. He was only 27, and I was not even aware he was stricken with this illness during my time spent with him.

Holy crap! I knew he was having some problems but he never spoke of what they might be. I didn't know him very well, but I can say that he was the only person at The Brake Zone that knew how to work well with the customer. He helped me out GREATLY a couple of times. This is sad to hear.

That is terrible! I never got to meet him but did speak to him on the phone a few times. I sent a friend there to have his brakes done and he had mentioned that Sherwin had been away for long time due an illness but I never thought it was that serious.

He was such a nice guy and I wish the very best for his family.

I also had the privelage of working with and getting to know Sherwin. It's a very sad day for me because we shared some very personal emails in the last few months since we both were fighting our own health demons. I was lucky enough to survive and hopefully will stay in full health for awhile. From my very first contact with him in discussing his Wilwood brake system for the NSX, I felt like I was working with an old friend. When I finally found out his age, I was amazed at how great he was at making a new customer feel at ease and his commitment to service. A skill like this for such a young man is far too rare today. I will miss him more than I can imagine. :frown: :frown: :frown:

Wow...that is sad. I bought a set of my Rims from him a few years ago and talked to him a bit on the phone, what a super nice guy...sorry to hear this. RIP.

100% agree.

I spoke with Sherwin years and years ago when I had my first S2000 and he was a really cool guy. Unfortunately, I don't really visit the S2K boards that often any more and I didn't even know he was ill. That bums me out.

My condolences to his family and friends.

27 is way too young and I continue to pray to God that we find a way to beat cancer.

Godspeed Sherwin.
