yeap, there was actually an officer & detective there....they got some fingerprints on the vehicle, and that was the first time I actually saw them doing some CSI stuff... :biggrin:
I am surprised your car was broken into at oakbrook. I worked at that mall in a restaurant all through undergrad and I always felt it was safe and security was pretty tight. The weak ass bitches that are into breaking other peoples stuff are generally smart enough to get around security, but not smart enough to be able to hold a good job. Sorry to hear about that.

Actually that's not a reflection but rather a sign on the car beside him showing thru when the flash on camera went off.
Bummer man. I hate to see this shit around home. I just heard today that murders in Milwaukee are 71 so far this year compared to 48 this time last year!
I live in a 300k metro area (Appleton/Fox Cities), and we are almost crime-free. But how long will it last? We used to have gang issues, but they have almost dissappeared as of late.
I must admit, that I have laxed as of late with hiding my detector, phone, CD's etc. Maybe this is a wake up call for me to get back on the defensive!
These crimes absolutely suck, you feel sooooo violated, because you do not actually see the perp. Will they strike again? Did they find other info off of your car? Is it revenge? Noone ever knows.
I highly doubt that the CSI stuff done will do jack to find them.

Oakbrook is one of the "upperclass" places to shop where you would not think to have a window broken for a radar detector. I felt that way in Oakbrook, IL and in Chesterfield, MO (similar to Oakbrook) and had a $500 head unit taken stoen out of my car with similar $ damageas your TL. Sometimes the neighborhood has nothing to do with it. I have friends in Fountain Valley, CA who had a 5k stereo system stolen while they were at church (yes the car was in the church parking lot) about ten years ago.
