Looking to buy a rear plastic cowl the goes under the rear glass. Tried to polish my old faded one and I started to burn through layers? Made it look worse and couldn't correct.

If you can't find another one maybe painting yours would be an option.

The oem paint used on the that piece very fragile, scratches very easily and dulls out fast with sun exposure. My advice would be to drop it off at a paint shop and have them spray it berlina black basecoat/clearcoat and the finish wil be more durable last mush longer than an oem one.
