I am looking to get out of club racing and want something that is fun for the track/weekend car.

Ideally, I would like something that already has a roll cage built in (preferably welded vs. bolt-in; but, would consider bolt-in). I am looking for something with current maintenance records, etc. I am selling my IP M3/GTS3/ITE car if anyone is interested in a full-blown race car.

I do not think I will have a lot of time other than just HPDE's ... Preferably, I would like six point harnesses (passenger/driver) and a 5 lb. halon system with two, and even more preferably three nozzles. Maintenance -- all current and detailed please.

Thanks,

James

*bump* -- I sent an email Johnny (sorry for delayed response). Ideally, I am not looking for something that is 'almost' a full-blown race car. I would like a good HPDE/street car. I am getting out of club racing for awhile, at least the next couple of years it appears b/c of family obligations. I renewed my racing license for this year; but, do not anticipate entering any races ...

Hence, I am looking at the NSX to be a fun weekend car, something to do HPDE's with (maybe 2-3 times a year), and to try some autocross with (need to improve b/c I stink at autocross). I am looking for '91-95's (primarily for cost reasons). Not looking to sell my second born (unless she pisses me off ... hehe) ...

Thank you

my email to expedite is: james (dot) derry (at) gmail (dot) com

p.s. - My '97 M3 is still available -- sale fell through.

I just finished rebuilding the engine (bottom to top end) with brand new LTW/clutch combo plus some other goodies. So, it will be a great club racer car for those interested in getting their feet wet for a fraction of the cost. Never been wrecked (knocking on wood).

As some here will attest, building a race car (converting it from street to race) is much more expensive than buying one some idiot (like me :D) spent all the money on in converting ... fully safe -- 6 point custom cage by kearney racing, 5 lb fire suppression with 3 nozzles, FIA seats, 6 point camlock harnesses, quick release sprung hub steering wheel, etc ... etc.
