Hey folks, GeNSX here. I'm a newbie in terms of the NSX
ownership, but have been getting a lot of good information
from y'all.

I was wondering what some of your experiences from the
repair shops / dealerships were in San Antonio area.

I didn't care for the service at Gunn Acura... so I've been going
to H N A Automotive on the NW side. The guys have been
taking good care of my 95 Integra for a few years now.

I've seen Gunn and H N A listed in the NSXSC supporting sites as
well.

Any input would be much appreciated.

Looking forward to meeting some of you on the road, in the shop
(hopefully minimally) and in the gatherings!

Hi GeNSX:

Gunn lost their dedicated NSX tech, Augie, a few months ago, and now anyone might work on your car. Arrowwood, at Bitters and 281, has 2 guys certified on the NSX and had worked on mine a lot before I bought it.

I posted a similar thread looking for a tech - here's the link:

I don't know the guys at HNA, so no opinion there.

Where did you buy your car?

Thanks Left Lane... the search engine seems to be on the fritz.
Scott from H N A automotive works only on Hondas and Acuras...
He maintains atleast 3 NSXs in this part of town, and he used
to work for Gunn prior to setting up his own shop.

I'll go to him for the initial shake down since the shop is so close
to where I live. Thanks again for the info and I'll keep everyone
posted on how the service is... as for personality and customer
service, their shop is one of the best.

Talk about reviving an old thread!

As you guys already know, I moved to NC for my job. Still miss SATX a lot, especially the canyon drives in Austin and the hill country, but atleast here we have Deal's Gap or the Tail of the Dragon.

Anyways, I had a lot of services done on the NSX since it was coming due for the 7 year timing belt thing. I took it to a well known and the local NSX guru, Steve Gooding (master NSX mechanic who now works out of his house and wrenches most of the local owner's in the Raleigh area).

The owner prior to me had this vehicle worked on mainly at Niello Acura in CA, but I had it taken to H n A automotive for several tweaks oil change etc and valve adjustment, etc. Mr. Gooding was very impressed with the work that had been done prior to him getting his hands on it. No stripped bolts, wiring, gaskets, washers and all the small things were in impeccable condition. It was obvious to him that the owners and the mechanics TLC'd this car.

I love it and feel like a kid in a candy store everytime I start her up and rumble down the twisty road.

So, in closing.... H n A automotive will take good care of your vehicle. I'm so lucky to have found 2 good mechanics near where I live!

Cheers,
