Hey,

For $12.95 shipped you can't beat the deal...

It is not yet available, in fact it is only a concept - if it does become available expect to pay $xxxx.xx for it, and expect it to require extensive background drivers (like most 'multimedia keyboards'), and require a great deal of customization to get it to work with your software. Personally I prefer the standard 104-key USB keyboard, with no required background software...

We seem to have gotten a bit off topic, going from someone showing a $13 to your door keyboard, which he feels is a good deal, to discussing potentially expensive design concepts ;)

The advanced keyboard FAQ

"It will cost less than a good mobile phone"

so a few hundred bucks I assume. I'd pay $200 for it.

A "good mobile phone" does not cost $200, most 'decent' phones sell for over $500, they are just subsidized by your service provider; I don't see how this keyboard could sell for $200, aren't all of the keys made out of small lcd panels, or a lower resolution (but similar) technology? The unit itself seems complicated to produce, and this is avoiding software/resource hogging concerns (which, as a gamer, could be significant)

It is an interesting idea to throw around, but I would expect it to cost more than $200, and I do not see it as something I would personally purchase.
