Hello. Looking at NSX and found this great website. Looking at a 95 midnight pearl, shows 61K miles, clean carfax, 2 owner car. Owner is asking $30K. current owner appears to have taken very good care of car. service has been done by his local Acura dealer. Car looks, drives , and sounds great, very clean. Owner has only put about 7K miles on car.
Problem areas: 1 no service records from first owner, current owner had PPI done and decided this was ok. He believe timing belt was done , but has no proof. 2 car drives and tracks straight, but noticed excessive wear inside right front ( tires have 7K miles, all other tires look great) Have worked on a lot of cars, but know little about NSX. This web site has convinced me to have TB/ WP done if I decide to purchase, so will consider this if making an offer.
Would like thoughts and comments from this group.
Thanks in advance

I was not too conerned, because our Infinity show up as having two owners on some reports. When we moved to NC we changed title from my name to wife's name and a title was issued. ( We bought car new, so I know it is one owner) My thought it might have something to do with leasing and individual state laws. I know we can not change what has or not been done to NSX in question. Current owner appears to have had good luck with car. I am more interested in what would be needed to bring car up to standard and what to expect going forward. How much this would affect car if I decided to sell car. What to offer for the car, etc. Thanks for input

With no maintenance records, I'm guessing you'll need to budget $3-4,000. Prior to purchase, spend the $1-200 to have a PPI done by an NSX specialist. I mean a guy who knows what he is doing. AT $30,000 + $4,000 that's a "reasonable" deal...but some on this site would argue otherwise. No records, consider it not done. Good luck in your search/purchase.

I agree with the no proof it not done philosophy.
No matter what "DEAL" you get, there will be better and worse out there.
Just have to remember nobody make you write the check for the car.
This car is real clean, as my wife said: "Almost, too nice". guess I am trying to decide if car can be bought reasonable enough to take the bad with the good? Thanks for input.

Without records it is 30k plus 3k to make sure the timing belt etc is up to
snuff. Otherwise, everytime you start the car in the morning could result
in a 8 to 10k engine job.

I can't believe that any Acura dealer can't pull up the service history.
Probably something to do National Security and terrorist threats!
