Just got my 92 and would like to install keyless entry but found out Acura does not make them anymore. Has anyone try to install 93+ on a 92. Any suggestion is appreciated.

Andrew,

I personally would go with an aftermarket alarm system. For a little extra money, you get keyless entry, trunk release, alarm, dome light etc... it was well worth the extra money over just keyless entry.

NetViper,

Being a stock frek I wanted keep everything original but if this other vendor pointed out by nsxtasy doesn't have it I may just go for the aftermarket alarm. Thank you all for your help.

Any other ideas, Ken?

Thank you for your inquiry! Sorry, the keyless entry kit for the 91-92 NSX is no longer available. If you find a lower price for any genuine part, please let me know and I will try to match or beat it!. Please email again with any further questions.
Andy!

Hi,

Acura NSX 91-92 $184.05

Do you have any of the kits in stock and ready to ship? Acura can no longer get them and I am having a time finding one.

Thanks,

Tom Covington

I found ONE inthe entire US for my 91, and a salesman is hanging on to it for unknown reasons. If anyone can find a couple, PLEASE let me know. I am partial to the stock item as well, as EVERY aftermarket alarm I have ever had has ended being trouble.

I called dealer source I know and they said it looks like there are none left :(. There was one in the country a week ago, but it has been purchased, according to my source.

Tried the suggestion by nsxtasy and called the Canadian Acura dealer and got the same Acura no longer have them answer. Somehow when I checked with Gold Coast Acura, Ventura California (805)656-1010, they were able to locate one for me for my 92. They indicated there were 40 showing on their system in the San Francisco warehouse for my 92 but not for 91. I'm confused because I thought they were the same for both the 91 and 92. Anyways I got my and installed it and loving it. The only thing I'm unsure is that when I use the keyless to lock the doors the LED light on the driver side door do not flash. I can’t seem to find any literature on this but other than that everything works.:)

They are the same for '91 and '92.

I noticed that A&H Motorsport (the dealer who had them posted on the website for $184) has removed it from their website.

The problem I had with LED light on the driver side door not flashing is because I incorrectly wired the two wires going to the security module. Fixed that today and everything worked like it should. Thank you all for all the feedbacks and helps.:D

Got mine ordered today. They said that they had 36 left as of a week ago when I initially called in. Gold Coast Acura had to get it from their warehouse, and it is shipping today.

On a side note, I started checking on other systems, and although I found that just keyless entry would run about $175 installed from several shops, I wouldn't trust anyone I saw at ANY of the places I went to. To me, the electrical system in any car tends to be a real pain if problems arise, and diagnosis has cost me an arm and a leg in the past. I can't wait to get the car back out of the shop and install it myself, and not be paraniod that some pimply kid was tearing the guts out of my dash, and throwing stuff back together, because "hay dude, it'll never be seen."

Thanks guys!

Tom
