Worthwhile to rebuild OEM clutch?

Sort answer yes. You will have to do the research though. I can tell you MJ isn't making a hole lot of money on his rebuilds. My guestimate is he makes $150.00 on each rebuild he sells.

I was thinking the same thing when mine started to slip a couple of months ago. After thinking it over I just opted for a new factory clutch and flywheel. I got mine from Eric at Niello the whole kit clutch, flywheel, both bearings for $1079 to my door that's a great price. I then took it to Acura of Brookfield for the install for $456 and I feel much better knowing I have a brand new one in. The car feels like a different car shifts smooth runs great I'm very happy with it.

Ken,

Based on Steve's pricing data above I think the rebuilds are in the same basic $$ class as OEM. Dali does give you the light weight flywheel though, instead of the heavy OEM version.

I also think Mark's offers additional clamping force. Are you going SC or Turbo? I actually think the OEM is plenty strong if the engine is stock or with just H/E/I mods.

For now I'm happy with the power of the car so I'm certain the OEM is strong enough for my needs. I'm thinking of picking up a used clutch and having it rebuilt instead of purchasing a new OEM for the next time.
