Hijacked ebay account, if you want to safe the account owner some trouble inform ebay asap.

BTW I'd buy your car for 25k in a heartbeat, stunning looking NSX. :D

I bid 20 million on it, lol. He cancelled the bid and restricted me from bidding.

I hit the report item link, I'm sure if you do it saying its your car... It will get cancelled soon enough.

You are selling it for 25k?? Sweet. I'll be right over.

I'm going to bid up to 100million, just to be safe.

What gives, my bid was cancelled!

Must be watching prime.

Ebay's machine is so flawed these days. Fraudelent auctions like this one stay up longer than someoe trying to legitmately sell a simple home gym.

Exactly.

I've already had calls from people thinking I was the scammer because they had already talked to the alleged 'owner' of the car.

I don't have the patience with these idiots so I told them that if they are that dumb, they deserve to buy the car from the 'real' owner.

I think that I might have some legal recourse against ebay if they don't take that link down in a timely fashion. I've already reported it.

Yea thats my vin. That's why its a crock that these people require it in order to sell a car.

Ah, I see the game now. Set reserve at $65k, but make a verbal BIN of $25 outside eBay. Cancel all bids, save your original shill bid and tell people to contact you at your e-mail address.

private listing -- bidders' identities protected
Cancelled: US $xxxx.00
Explanation: please mail me for buy now: [email protected]

I'm a little slow sometimes, but nowhere near stupid enough to fall for that.

How does anyone in their right mind go for that?

If eBay won't pull the ad for being fraudulent, I'm sure that they'll pull it for the very obvious attempt at skirting eBay fees. ;)

I just placed a few bids and it's up to $5,602.02. It's not worth it because it has probably been farted in too many times.

A nice note with legal letterhead to E-Bay will see your car doesn't get listed again once they have a chance to read and process the letter. For the time being, all we can do is individually contact them and scream scam/fradulent auction enough to make monkey #442 tag it and remove it.

Damn protein shakes.

I reported the listing as fraudulent. It took a couple of tries through their poor system but I selected Report this Item on the bottom, choose E-Bay motors, other fraudulent item, then after Step #3, I clicked Contact Us where I could type in the problem with the item and the Item #.

Their system will comb for key words when items are reported. I said the seller's account was a hacked compromised account, the item listing is fraudulent, I know the owner, the vehicle is not for sale, the scammer is cancelling bids and e-mailing bidders outside for buy it now.

I hate scammers.

FYI I reported this yesterday to eBay. I clicked on the link there to talk to a customer service person directly. I then posted it here on Prime.

It's gone. :frown: I really wanted it too, but the owner should stay away from those freakin' protein shakes.
