Hmmm....would I stain the ground effects or paint them? I think a mahogany stain would go very nice with the black upper body color. But then again a coat of sears weather beater would hold up longer.I could see this turning into a big pain in the butt like an old wooden boat that need to be refinished every year. I guess I will pass on this one.

Looking on the bright side of this car:

* Certain types of wood are cheaper, lighter and easier to mold than carbon fibre.
* It's unique.
* It's wood exterior matches the speakers + subwoofer casing.
* You only need to wax half the car.
* In the end, if you don't like the car, it makes great kindling for the fire...

That wood needs some Thomson's Water Seal or maybe some siding to protect it from the elements.

He's better off replacing the wheels with wooden ones and selling it as a Flintstones mobile.
