QWKSLVR,

Wow!!! All that stuff looks real good. Exterior mods are real nice, but I really like what you've done on the center console. That radio install is a different take on the aftermarket upgrade route, and I really like the way they did that. All the other "custom" pockets are SWEET, particularly the phone and cup holders. Maybe some should redo the center console blanks with those two holders!! AWESOME!!!

You look like you've had a busy winter!!! Now, all you need is all that snow to go away!

Thanks Yellowdancer & Fury, I really dig both your rides too. Fury, I really like my dash as well, the installer didn't just cut a rectangle that was exactly the same dimension of the head unit, in my opinion, that does not look factory. What he did was to cut a round edge trapezoid that was larger than the head unit then he added a trim plate to fill out the space around the unit, in this way, it perfectly matches the way the climate control area is from the factory. If you look carefully, you'll also see that the edge around the cut is not a flat cut, but a rolled beveled edge, just like factory. The phone & cup holders are really trick especially for a '91 interior. I had a dash company custom make the CF overlay once the factory dash had been refabricated.

Hey Eddie,

Very nice. I like your center console with the cup & cell phone holder. And the 02 rear looks great, I might do that to my silver NSX. Did you painted the whole rear silver or did you leave the center black like the stock 02?

BTW, did u see the new pictures I posted?
Just got the exhaust put on today. The headers are in, the brakes are on and the interior is done but I'm gonna have someone else repaint the console (he didn't do a good job on the paint). Supercharger next

Hi Yvonne, thanks for the skirts! The rear center section is left black like factory, it brings out the contrast of the black mesh better in my opinion. Your ride looks SWEET too!

hey eddie,

wow, you've been busy since the last time i saw you. very nice looking!! has akio or jason seen it in person yet? 'till next time, peace.

Nice! I love the Sebring Silver color. May I ask how much they charged you to paint the top?

I had the shop do the roof, the skirts, & rear valence for $695. The roof alone was $350. They did a great job at a fair price

Whatup Jay? No I haven't hung out w/ either recently, but can't wait til we can cruise to Rockville or something when all this snow melts! It took awhile to gather all the pieces & work around the weather & schedules. I'm pretty content w/ the look for now, but just as I always promise myself I'm never going to drink again after a hard nite of partying, I'll probably not be able leave good enough alone & will be finding something else to do like going up to 18/19's, etc...See you when it warms up--soon!

That cupholder has to be the best mod I have ever seen on an NSX. How did they do that?

Edwardo, I actually have a stealthier cupholder installed in my glove box, I'll take a pic of how I did that one, it was a cheap 15 minute mod. As far as the turning the shallow square coin tray into a deep circular cup holder, that took more time & $$ but can be done for around $350 & a donor center console. The cell holder was made where the shift map use to be. In both cases, a plastic cup was fabricated & plastic welded together using a pliable plastic bondo-like resin that dries hard. Finished product looks like molded plastic.

Wow, that's a pretty good price! Did you know someone from the shop to give you such a deal or was this the regular cost? How much did they charge for install of the rear valance and side skirts? Thanks again.

No, I didn't have any special hook up w/ the bodyshop, however I did tell them that I was refered by one of their regulars. The break down was something like this: roof-$350 (I had the car stereo pro who did my console remove my b-pillars prior to save the body shop guy from struggling & messing up my interior & paying more labor), skirts-$165 (but I installed them myself, easy job), rear valence $180 (painted & installed). They quoted me this price before I offered to do some of labor on my own (I only trust the body shop to install factory exterior pieces like the valence, but not aftermarket skirts, or b-pillars which require interior access). Hope this helps! This should be a good price guide since cost of living is relatively high in the DC area.

Nice job!

i never had a taste for silver NSX's much until i saw one just last week...awe...

Here's some more pics of the stealth goodies I have in my NSX, the first pic is of my K40 radar/laser detector hard wired power/volume/mode knob, look carefully, its the round knob that looks like the car lighter left of ashtray. I don't smoke, but just in case the next owner does, I keep a matching CF Zippo in the ashtray:

Next is a pic of the visual K40 LED indicator alert lights flashing, they are the red lights on either side of the clock, which is intact & works:

Next is my second cupholder which I made. This is the best cupholder solution for all pre '93s. It's short enough so that the glove lid closes when not in use. The cupholder costs $6 at Pep Boys & its diameter is adjustable. I secured the cupholder to black plastic cut to the exact dimensions of the glove box, this is also a great way to cover up the unfinished holes in side the glovebox once the factory phone is removed!

Hope this gives you guys some ideas!

Damn, I thought my couple holder was an original! I did the exact same with a firm foam rubber base instead of plastic.

Your radar detector is the best tho, I remember drooling over it a the Pohanka meet last fall.
