In the wintertime, you are more limited ... but if you are doing downhill skiing, you might also consider nordic or cross country skiing, as well as snowshoeing. This would be a great way to get away from the crowds and enjoy some quiet winter scenery.
If you ever do any rock climbing in a gym ... ask around for that.
Don't think they do balloon rides in the winter ...
Snowmobiling is fun and there is a lot of it there.
You could also go sledding. I think there is a really big sledding hill by Frasier. Or like PaulL said go snowmobiling. Going 80 MPh on snowmobile is pretty fun. The best place to go snowmobiling is Grand Lake. I can’t think of much more to do. Winter Park is pretty one dimensional in the winter. The Train might be another good idea. It is a really scenic ride and it takes you right to Union Station in Lodo. It is very close to good restaurants and lots of stuff to do.
