Winnipeg NSX's?

im looking to buy an 2002ish NSX, most likely from the US.

ive seen a few NSXs in winnipeg, a 91ish black one (usually dirty), and a green one (sounds modded).

ive been following the this board for a while now, just registered to get my face in the scene.

anyone else here from winnipeg?

I've been driving in from Regina about once a month for the last 3-4 years, so if you saw a dirty black one with Sask plates, it was probably me. If you saw it between Nov and Mar, it was almost certainly me. In all that time, I have yet to see another one .. even in spite of attending several Sun night Portage cruises; several Pony Corral events (both locations); and this years August cruise-in downtown early August. For a city of 6-700,000, that really sucks.

i think i saw this one in May or April, not sure tho.. this last year has really flown by for me.

There are a few 02s around. Red just brought a SPA 03 up from the US - he would probably consider selling it if you wanted one. THere is an orange 02 forsale in Toronto - it appears to be a CDN car.

You're probably going to pay around C$90k for an 02 - you can probably bring one up from the US for some savings.

Ive got a CDN 02 and love it.

yeh, im most likely going to fly down to the states and drive it back. im starting to look at more 2001's than 2002's.

NSX2398: even if there were a hundred NSXs in winnnipeg, youd be hard pressed to find them at the Pony Corral on sunday. ive never seen an NSX on portage cruising sunday night. its mostly tuner cars like Civics, VWs, ect. once in a while me and my buddy bring his Skyline GT-R out there. last month i had non-streetlegal drag tires on my jetta while cruising. embarassed a few vettes.

I know it's mostly classics and muscle cars but I've seen some newer exotics there.. an ACR Viper comes to mind .. but there was also a Ferrari 328 and Lambo at the Pony Corral downtown in August.

Actually, I think I only hit one Sunday night this year but last year I was amazed at the variety .. tuners, bikes, 60's muscle cars, trucks, 'stangs, even some gray hairs in an SL500 with the top down! I have cruised but much prefer parking and watching .. I think you get a much better perspective .. and an oppt'y to chat with a local group of enthusiasts. Sounds like you're more into street racing though.

i dont really go out looking for races, but ive often found myself stopped next to an 80s vette wanting to show me 'whats up'

but portage is an absolutly NO SPEEDING area. were trying to keep sunday nights alive, and if people are tooling around doing 20 past the limit, the city isnt going to let us do this too much longer.
