Just had a chance to post the on board video from the Chrono-X time attack event. We ran both the show room stock class and the prepared class at the event and were able to win both classes and set the fastest time of the day (faster than the R/Unlimited class).
I love the NSX community, I had great help from several NSXPrimer's from Texas to get the car ready and to assist with changing tires and suspension setup between the street and performance classes.
My famous last words when talking to Titanium Dave on the phone were "I hate not running a sway bar, I never do that"... of course my good friend and tuner Jared O'Malley made me unhook the sway with the Hankook Z214's and we want way faster (the sway was used on the street tire setup).
Special thanks to Jared O'Malley on suspension tuning, Dave Fischer (excellent Houston Acura Mechanic) for setting up a second battery mount and staying up until 2:30AM the night before the event to prepare the car and then getting up early and working on the pit crew, Scott Adams for a similar late night and pit crew work, Titanium Dave for Parts and support and Billy Johnson for last minute tire pressure advice!
Sponsorship and support provided by STMPO, we added the coupe rear strut brace and baffled oil pan for this event.
The tires required a really slow out lap to keep temperatures down and they started to fall off toward the end of lap two, making the sweeping left at the end of the second lap quite a handful. The end of the video shows part of the tire and setup change for the street class (including the addition of a stock sized battery).
