What is involved as far as placing these side skirts? Are they a bolt on item or do holes have to be drilled into the car?

These are all correct, but keep in mind, the "self tapping" screws do not go into the body. They are in your wheel well liner. So there is no damage to your car and they are easily reversible (you can always switch bar to factory side skirts easily).

I've wondered about these, and others as well...I have the WW front lip and thinking about new skirts too... Can they be installed over the existing panels or do the factory panels need to be removed? Is it a DIY job to get the factory panels off?

You will need to remove your original side skirts in order to install the WW side skirts.

If it's already warped then a heat gun on the low setting will help as well. The heat will help it conform to the angle bar much better.
