Hey there guys.

The double stick tape that was supposed to hold my wings west side skirts to the car didn't hold. The skirt is nice and straight, it just isn't adhered anymore, thus, it's going to be fixed. The fellow doing the work is reluctant to use double stick tape again as it proved to be unreliable the first time. What do you guys think? He is suggesting a more secure adhesive, but that will make it so that any future buyer of my car is going to be stuck with the wings west forever! :)

The 3M industrial double sided tape. Make sure all the goo, glue, and tape are completely removed from the car (where the side skirts will adhere to) as well as the side skirts. Clean with rubbing alcohol. If done properly, they will stick and handle category 10 hurricane winds.

You will be able to remove them, but it will require some muscle.

I agree. The double sided tape does work as long as the surface is clean. I used it on mine and never had a problem with it.

However, if I was doing it over again (similar to what you're having to do), then I'd really look into the SOS side skirt mounting brackets and see if those would work better for the install. The only downside I can think of is that the skirt may "sag" between or around the brackets, which can easily be fixed by putting a solid aluminum strip underneath to prevent this (and this may not even be needed if it doesn't sag).
