After alot of abuse from members on Prime giving me a hard time about my Sagging WW Skirts, I finally found time to fix them. Im still going to replace them over winter, but wanted to at least attempt to brace them.
I found a few good pointers on prime on how to fix the sag, but unfortunately my sag was severe. I ended up buying a 8ft piece of 1/8th in thick angled aluminum. I used locktite double sided sticky tape to just keep it in place. I then drilled small holes through the skirt and through aluminum. I then used pieces of steel that measured 2 x 4 to brace the whole piece of aluminum to the frame in 3 spots. Its not moving!
Heres the before and after.

Very nice. Any pics of the actual work on the skirt so we can see exactly what you did?

Sorry, forgot the camera. If I get it up in the air soon, I will for sure.
I didnt even have to take the sideskirt off. I left it on the car.
Hardest part was getting it on the lift!.

Thanks, doing mine this weekend.

Looks great now, why change over the winter?

Can you describe this part a little more?

So glad you fixed it! Although, it's really hard to see the actual change in the photo since the "after" photo is taken from a different angle looking down on the side of the car, not showing much underneath like the "before".

You might not need them, depending on your sag. Mine was very bad.
I just used rectangled pieces of steel, I had in the shop.

Here is a pic of the Aluminum extruded piece. It was around 30.00 at Menards. I used 1/8th in. You will need to cut it down to fit.
Also, use small screws so you dont get dimples in the skirts.
I will try and find a pic of the steel pieces.

Still complaining about my side skirts
This is all I have for now.

Oh ok cool, thanks man.

Maybe when you change side skirts Ill snag these up from ya. Do they sit lower than the factory sills or merely just flush up the sides of the body?

Is this a common problem with wings west side skirts? I used to have a civic with polyurethane wings west side skirts and they would expand and compress depending on the winter and summer month temperatures. I live in the high desert where winter can dip to the low 30s and summer can reach over 105.

Looks great!

This fix is a must if you have the WW-kit.

I used a similar aluminium L-profile to reinforce my WW skirts.

I did the same prior to installation, never had an issue, didn't use screws though, L-brackets and marine goop as recommended by SOS. Still straight as an arrow.
