You don't need to remove anything to install the rear spats, except the rear tires. You will have to screw into the inner wheel wells to hold the spats, and the rest can be held on using the double sided tape.
I would suggest you test fit before painting, and I mean make sure it fits like a glove. On mine the pointed edges would "pop" off of the car, probably from stress. I heated it up with a heat gun and formed it while still warm. When it cools it fits perfect, and after you paint it that's how it'll fit, perfect.
Take the time to make it fit right. Take pictures after you've got them on.
**forgot to mention, you need to also drill a hole big enough for water drain out. The best place to drill the hole would be the corner farthest inside on the wheel well. When it rains, or when you wash your car, water collects inside the spat, lots of water. The weight of the water can put stress on the mounting tape and over time will eventually make the spat come loose. Drill the holes and have peace of mind.
Email me if you have any other questions.
