alright, am i missing something here? the new struts that i received from acura does not have the ball in the joint (the part that secures the top part of the strut to the vehicle). now, it doesn't seem logical that the ball could easily be removed from the original strut and put into the new one. can someone help me out here?

thanks!

aha, i guess there is a clip in there. not the easiest thing in the world to get out, but i suppose that is the only way of doing this. if anyone has any experience with this, any advice would be greatly appreciated!

thanks again.

well, spoke to the dealer and he said the struts ship two ways. funny thing is the list on the package with the ball joints is cheaper than without. hmm... anyhow, couldn't wait for a special order, so had to improvise. it is amazing what a little will and a hacksaw can do.

the job is complete. thanks for the input.

on to the next task...
window regulators, and condensation in tail light

Fog in the rear taillight: I followed the advice and I drilled four 5mm holes on the bottom of the taillight (where you cannot see it without deinstalling) and ... perfect
