I took my door apart to put in the dali fix it thingies and found out I have the new regulator.

1. Does it make sense to install the fix it thingies in a new style regulator?

2. Its a Sunday (Acura closed schucks open)and I need to find an alternative grease for the regulator guides. Looks like lithium would not be any good. I have some high temp brake grease but it looks like it might be too sticky. Any ideas on what to use?

Also I read the FAQ and the Dali fix it thingy install manual and tech bulletin.

The grease needs to coat and stick to the white plastic spool.

I would replace the "thingies" only if they are the plastic type in the picture here

Nope - they will not do anything useful for you - find a friend that needs them.

Thanks,

I found that the grease in the tracks apeared to have hardened and caused binding. I am going to try and use a mobile 1 synthetic general purpose grease.
