I just bought an 01 NSX-T. On the 200 mile drive home from Chicago I took it up past 115 mph several times and topped out at 130.
But, I noticed around 115 (sometimes 120) there would be a sudden increase in signifigant cabin noice that sounded like the window was down. They were up, and I could only notice it on the driver side, but I don't drive from the passenger side so I could happen on that side too. One time it just hit very fast and caused the NSX to pull to the left, the rest of the times is was a gradual increase that took about 3 seconds to get load.
Is this normal in T-tops? Or do I have some problem with the insulation, or is it something else?

Had this problem too in a '98 cp. Quick solution: Let the window a bit open when you shut the door. When the door's closed, shut the window. Or: If you have closed the door with closed window just make a little down/up move with the window (but only at low speed!).

The problem is that the windows are frameless and they don't settle correctly in the rubber when they have to fight against the air resistance in the car when you shut it. Ooops - not very good english and not very good tech - but I hope it helps.

I just bought my 98 NSX-T in June, I have the same problem and posted the question (do a search). Anyway, several people at NSX events have told me of their same experience. My wind noise comes on like clockwork at 120mph, only on the passenger side, not the driver. I have tried the "open the door and roll the window up, then close it" trick, yes it helps, no it doesn't alleviate the problem. I was told I could have the window re-aligned, but most warn that in a few months it will be back. I have even heard some people getting the noise on coupes. It really doesn't bother me that much, since it is only above 120mph. My cabin is incredibly quiet below that speed. Actually it's funny, I find the noise useful now, since I don't look at the speedo that much at high speed, it reminds me that I'm at 120mph :)

As far as the sudden pull to the left, it sound like either a sudden wind direction change, or a inconsistency in the road that made you pull, not the wind noise from the window (just a coincidence

Get used to it,I get all sorts of sucking sounds at >115mph,no jokes please!lol As far as safety goes ie. something blowing apart or coming loose, don't worry about that, just make sure in haste you don't forget to latch down the roof!

Your windows need to be adjusted according to the procedure in the service manual.

I had that with my car at one point, with loud wind noise at the passenger side window above 120 mph or so. The NSX tech at my dealer adjusted the windows and - voila! - no more noise.

Come on Bob!!! That's your queue :D:D:D

Do anybody have this problem at speeds around 70 mph? It seems to be on the driver side rear edge of the window. If I push the weatherstrip toward the window it goes away momentarily. Do I just have to live with it?

I have it too, although it surfaces around 80-85MPH. My best guess (based on similar symptoms from other cars) is that the weather stripping has compressed a bit becasue its memory resiliance isn't what it was 13 years ago. Next summer I will put in new weather stripping, and my guess is that the wind noise will dissapear.

Gotta go with Ken on this one. When I pulled the window to properly lube the tracks, I did not get it aligned back the same way it was, and now I have wind noise from the passenger side over 80mph. If you have been in your door, you should find it fairly easy to fix, although I have not taken the time to do it. One fairly easy way to tell if the alignment is off is to take a piece of paper and shut the door on it at various points on the window and weatherstrip. If you can pull the paper out, there will probably be wind noise at high speeds. Had the same issue on my old vette, which is where I learned the trick. Adjustment on the X may be a bit tighter than my vette, as I thought I had it right (no pull out on the paper) but still got wind noise. Easy check for pretty bad alignment though. Good luck....
