Will the new NSX have a passenger airbag cutoff?

I have always loved the NSX, but could not buy one because it does not offer a passenger airbag cutoff switch. I have an 8 year old daughter that rides with me all the time so this feature is a must. Has anyone seen any press releases that confirm or deny the next generation will have this?
p.s. Buying a 1991 or 1992 was not an option for me.

I'll look tomorrow if no one knows before I go by the dealer. BTW they has a Red/Tan one on the floor for sale. Also 01 Spa Yellow/Black.

NOTHING reliable has been written about the next generation NSX - not even about the size of the engine, let alone a minor feature like a passenger airbag cutoff switch.

However, by the time the next gen NSX is out in a few years, she'll probably be big enough that you won't need the cutoff switch.

Tie her down on the engine cover (or the trunk if you prefer), that'll fix it...

Worst case, isn't there a way just to physically disable or remove that airbag?
If I really wanted a car and that was all that stopped me, I would consider it.
Is it possible to do this?

If someone really wanted to disable it they could unplug it and plug in the service plug.
I am just going off of what you can do with other Hondas. I have not taken mine apart to see if the service plug is there.

Just a clarifying question... do you mean the new 02 or the next generation? Given the trend in the industry and the fact that the MDX has this capability already I would venture to guess that if the new 02 does not have it the next generation will.

If your child is old enough to not ride in a car seat, there is no point in disabling the airbag in an NSX.

If you put her in the passenger seat and move it all the way back, as long as she is wearing a seat belt correctly seh will never be anywhere near the airbag.

I am in the same boat you are. And this is the solution I have found.

I do have to warn you, I haven't had any experience with them yet. But I will in a month or two.
