I may be doing my first Laguna Seca event. I currently have headers and a Comptech exhaust. Does anyone have any on track experience to know if this exhaust will/will not pass sound? If not, I'll have to reinstall my stock exhaust for the event as a last resort.
Thanks in advance for your input!

Some do and some don't. It is very much at the limit of the 92 db day depending on the wind. Try to be easy on the throttle while climbing to turn 6. The sound meter is to your right. You might also want to experiment with some deflectors aiming to the left ....... years ago an ingenious solution by one NSX racer was to use two 32 oz tomato juice cans that he bought from the nearest convenience store, kept the lid attached but at an angle - it worked. But you would need some clamps ;-)

My experience was with Comptech headers, resonated exhaust and intake - no problems!

The wind is the factor. Last December, I had no issues with CTSC, headers and exhaust with a 92 db day until the last session of the day where I was shown the black flag for sound.

Steve, was that in your yellow automatic or more recent

thanks for the info. I don't have Cats. Will this make it or break it for me?

Re: Will my exhaust pass sound at Laguna Seca (92db)?

OK, I'm going back to Laguna Seca this weekend, but with a new setup. Does anyone know if this will pass the 92db sound limiter?

- Comptech header
- No cats
- Stock exhaust
- Cantrell cold air intake

thanks in advance
