I'm doing an 02 rear valance coversion on my 92. i like to keep my oem exhaust (because is quiet) but the oval shape tips will not look good or fits with new valance. will the 02 exhaust fits in my 92? or can i just change those tips?

Thanks in advance.

So basically no it won't bolt up unless you change the header. If I were you I would just buy an aftermarket exhuast like anytime and then you don't have to worry as all the aftermarket exhausts are designed to fit the 91-94s

OR

you could buy an 97+ exhuast and a 97+ headers...

OR

you could just cut off your old tips and weld on any tip you like

You must be real careful about your exhaust choice with the 2002 rear valance. I do not think the Anytime will work either, since it is dual tip. You need a single round tip like the Comptech.

The other option would be if the center to center dimension is the same for the valance opening AND the early exhaust you could just have new tips welded on:).

Or....you can have a muffler shop modify it to work. As you can see between the 1991-1994 exhaust and the 1997 and up exhaust, there is very little difference. Any half competent shop should be able to make this work, it's not rocket science. ;)

Btw, I have 97+ style headers on my 93 and they had to custom pipes to make the custom exhaust made for 91-94 cars work. Again, very easy to do...
