Will alignment solve misaligned steering wheel?

My alignment is perfect but my steering wheel is off and it bothers me :-) .

Can I just take the steering wheel out and align it myself and put the bolts back?

thanks
Yes - when alignment was done, the steering wheel should have been centered first; at this point however, you can just remove the steering wheel & re-centre it or have the alignment re-done with the wheel centred first.
Note: it's kinda hard to manually guess at when your wheels are pefectly centered when static - you might want to note the position of the steering wheel while driving in a straight line & park it in your garage with the wheel at a similar angle, ideally driving it straight into the garage & stop.

this always happens to me within a month of getting a new alignment. My wheel slowly starts to be off to the left the more weeks that go by. (car still tracks dead straight on moderate acceleration and coasting.)

I always thought it might be because I use the steering wheel as leverage when climbing in and out of the car.

yes...i changed my steering wheel and it is off a tick...not too noticeable but enough to irritate the crap out of me..so I got an alignment and now it is dead on!!!!

what a great feeling:)

thanks D'Ecosse

i'll try it out... going to make sure I removed the neg batt cable frist - don't want the srs light to come on afterwards :-)
You should also find a safety jumper to connect on the SRS before you mess with it.
