Someone is offering to sell a steering wheel (without the airbag center piece) from a 2000-2002. I have a 1998. Is it going to be possible to buy the thing, switch out my air bag piece to the new wheel, and mount it in my car? Anyone try this? How difficult will this be? Thanks.

Call your dealer's parts department and ask them if it's the same part number.
Make sure you know which year it's from though - is it 2000, or 2001, or 2002?

They do have different part numbers because the newer ones (2000-2002) have perforation holes in the leather handles. I want to know whether they will still fit. Thanks.,

How much was it to buy the new steering wheel and to install it?
Sorry, I don't recall the exact price, but I think $450 plus 1 1/2 hours to intall it.
